Marie Wittenius has an academic background in European and International Studies and works as a research officer at the Observatory for sociopolitical developments in Europe. In her work, she monitors sociopolitical developments and trends at the European level. Currently, her thematic work focuses on the European anti-gender movement as well as gender equality, specifically LGBTIQ* rights.
