Lejla Gačanica is PhD law candidate, and currently working as an independent researcher and political analyst. She has over 15 years of experience in cooperation with international and civil society organisations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Western Balkans region. The areas of her interest include transitional justice with a focus on politics of remembrance, anti-discrimination, constitutional law and human rights, freedom of media. She authored many published analytical, scientific and research papers in these areas. Lejla was awarded by the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2016 for the residency at Frauenmuseum in Hittisau. She was also awarded for her work with youth on dialogue and reconciliation. In 2022 she joined Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation as Program Officer for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
