The main aim of the project was to point out the elements in which the semi-authoritarian regimes legitimize themselves and use the narratives for the promotion of their policies and to come and remain in power. Namely, each of the participants in the debate was expected to present the way how the narratives in specific field or discipline (media, human rights, memory, politics and culture) are shaped and how they are exploited. Moreover, the aim of the conference was to track the mechanisms of development of authoritarian tendencies in Macedonian society.
